Frugal Intentions is one search box for secondhand and vintage clothing. Type what you’re after, and it looks across twelve resale shops at once.

What the site does

For each search, we fetch the first page of public results from eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, The RealReal, Vinted and ShopGoodwill, and show them in one sortable feed. eBay listings appear in their own section. For Depop, Grailed, Mercari, Vestiaire Collective, ThredUp and Facebook Marketplace, and for any site that can’t be read at that moment, you get a “Search on …” link that opens that site’s own results.

Sizes are converted to letter sizes so you can filter, but that conversion is approximate. Every card also shows the size exactly as the seller wrote it, so check the listing before buying.

Saved searches and alerts

You can save up to five searches. About every 6 hours we re-run them, gently and within the same limits as a normal search, and note which listings are new. Alerts are shown in the app only: the next time you visit, each saved search shows how many new listings it found, and running it marks those listings with a “New” tag. There’s no email and no push notifications, so we never ask for contact details. We keep only the listing IDs needed to tell what’s new, not the listings themselves. If you haven’t visited for two weeks, checks pause until you come back.

Frugal Intentions is an independent project. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, The RealReal, Vinted, ShopGoodwill or any other site it links to. Their names are used only to say where a listing comes from.

Listings belong to their sites

Every listing, photo and description belongs to the site and seller it came from. We show a short summary and link straight to the original listing, where you buy directly from that site. Photos load from the original site; we don’t copy or store them. Search results are kept for at most 15 minutes, so repeat searches don’t hit the sites again.

Your privacy

• No accounts. There’s nothing to sign up for.
• No ads and no third-party trackers. No ad networks and no outside analytics services.
• Anonymous, aggregated counts. We count anonymous, aggregated usage: which searches are popular, which sites people click through to, and which filters get used. These counts aren’t linked to you: no IP address, cookie or ID is stored with them. Rare searches are never shown individually. Counts are deleted after 90 days.
• One anonymous cookie, only for saved searches. The first time you save a search, your browser gets a random ID so your saved searches and their alerts stay yours. It holds nothing about you. Clearing this site’s cookies removes the ID and your saved searches.
• IP addresses are used only briefly, for rate limiting. To keep the service fair and gentle on the resale sites, we count searches per visitor per hour. Your IP address is used for that count only. We don’t store or log it ourselves; our hosting provider keeps standard short-lived access logs.
• Your theme choice (light or dark) is kept in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it serves them.
